TOURISM CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL

The Inaugural National Tourism conference was a resounding success, and this was evidenced by the attendance of participants from various spheres of our economy. The presentations by the high caliber panel were very informative and relevant to present day Lesotho. It is envisioned that conclusions drawn from the deliberations shall be effectively utilised in mapping out the new corporate plan for the tourism stakeholders in Lesotho. The Conference was held at the ‘Manthabiseng National Convention Centre on January 23 rd -25 th , 2008, and the theme was “Tourism Creating Opportunities for All – Bohahlauli Ntlafatsong ea Sechaba”.

The conference included keynote addresses and debate on topical tourism management, quality, investment, and promotion issues, including: destination branding, trends in business tourism, partnering for growth, critical lessons in community tourism, and the tourism opportunity presented by the 2010 World Cup.
